Programs that offer workshops, discussion groups and other types of training which introduce participants to key concepts and terminology pertaining to the gender and sexually expansive community including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, two-spirit, or coming out, in order to promote greater understanding and awareness. Topics may include the difference between sexual orientation and gender identity and how these two aspects relate to one another and to race, culture and religion.
