Though typically serving large specialized water haulers, some stations may allow pickup by members of the public. Raw water, undrinkable without treatment, is water found in the environment including rainwater, ground water, water from infiltration wells and water from lakes and rivers, and is suitable for farming, irrigation, landscaping and similar uses.
