Description
Insurance coverage is not always a certainty even for the employed, and financial hardship can prevent many from otherwise obtaining services. We believe that access to health care is critical and that counseling and therapy can be a lifeline for our communityâs most vulnerable. Adults Many working adults do not receive adequate or any healthcare benefits. Our goal is to connect low-income adults in our community without access to health, dental, or vision insurance to free or low-cost services. Our programs include linking clients to dental offices for dental examinations and treatment, free eyeglasses, as assisting clients in obtaining free or low-cost prescription medications offered by more than 300 pharmaceutical companies. Children Primary pediatric care is essential for childrenâs health and wellbeing. Our program provides uninsured low-income children with access to pediatricians at no cost to the family. Services include connection to Kaiser Permanente in the Woodbridge/Manassas area for medical and pharmacy services, care coordination, and parent health literacy training sessions. We also link children to dentists who provide low-cost dental services.
