Arlington Free Clinic provides low income, uninsured adult residents of Arlington County access to comprehensive medical care. Last year, AFC offered over 10,000 appointments for services including primary care, specialty care, women?s health, mental health, physical therapy, pharmacy and patient education, including access to dieticians and diabetes educators. The majority of the patients are immigrants working at low paying jobs that do not offer health insurance. All patients have income that is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level (approximately $44,000 for a family of 4). The majority have one or more chronic diseases that require ongoing care and access to medications.
