Beach Health Clinic provides medical services to the uninsured residents of Virginia Beach currently living below 200% of the federal poverty level. We perform a thorough screening process in which all patients must meet the eligibility requirements before making an appointment to see a provider. Because of the large population of uninsured residents in the city of Virginia Beach the clinic gives these residents an option for care that does not include the hospitals or emergency departments. Patients of the clinic generally suffer from chronic conditions such as hypertension or diabetes. In the fiscal year of 2010-2011, the clinic averaged approximately 2,000 unduplicated patients.
